Maintenance Schedule

Regular maintenance not only is essential to keeping your Toyota running at its highest level of performance, safety and reliability- it can also enhance your vehicle’s resale value. Besides making sure you Toyota drives smoothly for years to come, following these recommendations will also keep your warranty in full coverage.

See your Toyota dealer for complete details on warranty coverage and maintenance schedule or refer to your Toyota Owner’s Manual Supplement.

To help ensure your vehicle receives first-rate service and factory-authorized parts, we recommend having routine maintenance performed by service technicians at an authorized Toyota dealership. They keep current on the latest developments in the maintenance and repair of Toyota vehicles.

A Toyota delivers so much driving satisfaction and luxury, and having it serviced at a Toyota dealership can keep your investment paying off for years to come.

Determining the Proper Maintenance Interval

Your Toyota should receive scheduled maintenance every 5,000 miles (or every 6 months,) depending on your circumstances and driving habits. Vehicles using synthetic oil will need service less often. Please check with your local Toyota dealership for specific maintenance intervals.

Use 5,000-mile or 6-month intervals if you primarily drive your Toyota under any of the following conditions:

-Driving on unpaved or dusty roads
-Towing a trailer or using a camper or car-top carrier
-Repeated trips of less than five miles in temperatures below freezing

Use 6-month intervals if you primarily drive your Toyota under conditions less strenuous than those listed above.

How to get better gas mileage:

- Maintain the engine

If you keep your engine in top form it can improve your gas mileage up to 4%. If you regularly get your vehicle serviced with our factory-trained technicians, your engine will run better, and you will get more bang for your buck.

- Maintain air filters

Air filters can become clogged and therefore put dust and dirt back into your vehicle. If you replace the air filter at regular intervals, the dust and dirt will stay out of your vehicle’s engine, and it will return the thanks by improving your gas mileage up to 10%.

-Keep tires at proper air levels

If you consistently check your tire pressure, you can improve your gas mileage by approximately 3%. If your tires have too little air, then the vehicle has to work overtime to function. Yet, if they are properly filled, you not only improve your gas mileage, but also your safety and lifetime of the tires.

-Use the right motor oil

Using the wrong motor oil is hard on your engine and can lower your gas mileage. By letting our factory-trained Toyota technicians work on your vehicle, you will get the correct motor oil every time, and you can improve your gas mileage 2% because of it.
